TAT’s

The key service delivery clients seek is on-time reporting of data in an appropriate laboratory report format, typically referred to as on-time ‘turn-around-times’ (TAT). Confirmation of turn-around-times occurs at the time of sample handover from client (or via courier) to the laboratory sample receipt desk. Once the laboratory accepts the sample submission with correctly assigned chain-of-custody details, the laboratory shall issue a sample receipt notices to indicate correct presentation of samples, confirmation of sample testing & LOR’s, reporting details including formats and the all-important turn-around-time dates/time for the client to expect results via email.


  • Laboratory staff shall also provide sample status updates using direct social media (WhatsApp) where allowed to let you know how things are going for critical sample batches.


  • A regular client and project manger DIFOT (Delivery in-Full & On-Time) spreadsheet shall be maintained to monitor on-time delivery of results for each client long-term and form the basis of statistical service delivery.
