Quality of test data is assured by third-party accreditation providers such as NATA (National Association of Testing Authorities) Accreditation against ISO-17025 (2017) and other similar providers who periodically audit Scientifica against prescribed internationally recognised technical and procedural guidance criteria.
In addition, Scientifica also follows written test method procedures that comprise QA/QC (Quality Assurance/ Quality Control) test method steps that prescribe specific outcomes for comparison against various industry guideline standards such as NEPM 2015 Data Quality Objectives (DQO’s) for test result accuracy, precision, reproducibility, comparability & completeness (PARCC) where applicable. The subset of DQO’s measured as Data Quality indicators (DQI’s) typically require reporting of analytical batch results for: method blanks, laboratory control samples, certified reference materials, in-house reference materials, trip spikes (volatile organics), trip blanks (volatile organics), surrogate spike recoveries, sample duplicate results including associated RPD’s, and various sample preservation/technical holding time status conditions that may compromise data validity where exceedances occur in isolation or in combination with multiple sample quality issues. Scientifica laboratory reports provide QA/QC and DQI results for data users to review and compare to various recommended compliance guidelines.
Scientifica has registered with NMI to participate in future proficiency reference sample material trials and currently conducts & testing of in-house reference materials to ensure day-to-day testing of client samples can be compared against an in-house standard material over time to monitor accuracy, precision and repeatability metrics in additional to client batch QA/QC testing.
Scientifica employs experts recognised in DQO and DQI data set evaluation, including assistance in preparing client Sampling & Analysis Quality plans (SAQP’s). Please contact David Burns to discuss if required.
